Participants about Forums
"In recent years, we have been actively talking about the digital economy and digital service and how digitalization has changed and continues to change people's lives. It is important to understand that the first area that was strongly influenced by digitalization was science. Along with the convenience and acceleration of the possibility of transmission and exchange of information, there are special problems in the digital environment that Digital Science is focused on to resolve. The Russian Academy of Sciences actively cooperates with Digital Science, this cooperation is productive and we plan to keep it up it in the future."
Dr. Alexey Khokhlov, Forum 2018
Vice-President of Russian Academy of Sciences
"I am grateful for the opportunity to visit and speak at the forum. The reports seemed to me relevant and useful for scientists, heads of scientific organizations and universities, and even for high-tech business. I see that Digital Science has come to Russia seriously and for a long time. I am sure that there are prospects for its development, I hope that the scientific community will make extensive use of its services."
Sergey Lebedev, Forum 2017
Deputy Director for Russian Scientific Foundation
"Each of the big American companies - Amazon, Google, and Facebook — invests five times more money in research than the Max Planck Society. So from the point of view of Russia and Europe, combining efforts would be very useful for the development of science. The future will be managed by more than one country, and more than one company. Otherwise, how can we be sure that progress and prosperity have come for all?"
Stefan von Holtzbrinck, Forum 2018
President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Holtzbrinck Publishing Group
"Digital Science Russia/CIS has established this Forum aiming to create an open dialogue where founders of emerging digital technologies and research community have a chance to communicate directly, with no mediums. We are glad that every Forum attracts a lot of interest, and engages excellent speakers. We are happy to partner with Russian Academy of Sciences for this Forum and exchange ideas on how science and digitalization will develop globally, in Russia and, most importantly, contextualize new digital projects toward the actual needs of the research community."
Dr. Igor Osipov, Forum 2018
DS Forum founder, CEO of Digital Science Russia&CIS and VP, Academic & Government (EMEA) Digital Science UK

Siberian science news
Digital Science Russia and Digital Science as a global company are essentially the same. The Digital Science project has grown out of the holding company Holtzbrinck Publishing Group and Nature. Founded by scientists, that company has been actively expanding its presence in the main scientific regions of the world for several years. The founder of the Digital Science Russia is the German information holding Holtzbrinck and the English company Digital Science. Holtzbrinck Publishing Group owns MacMillan, SpringerNature, the entire portfolio of Digital Science companies and a number of large assets of the STM market (STM stands for science, technology, medicine - Indicator.Ru). The total volume of content and solutions for scientists, universities, governments, attitude to science and innovations make it the largest global player along with Elsevier.
